CxC

In CXC we are focused on the promotion, design and development of
renewable energy projects, including fundraising, seeking investors
and their subsequent management.

Over 30 years developing renewable energy

Our experience in developing renewable energy projects dates back to 1981, when the commercial exploitation was still scarce. In the hands of the founders of our business, CxC began with the construction of small hydropower plants, and in the late 90s we extended our offer with the development of projects based on the use of wind energy. Subsequently, in 2019, the development of photovoltaic solar energy projects began.
Our international extension began with countries like Portugal and Cape Verde and later with France. In them all, we have carried out projects up to the stage of commercial exploitation.

Joan Fages Torras

Managing partner

Industrial Engineer from the High Technical School of Industrial Engineers of Barcelona since 1966 and with a Master degree in Business Management from ESADE. He has developed his professional activity in the industrial and tourism sectors, and he has combined it with teaching. He has participated as a speaker in many conferences and symposia.

With an intense activity in the field of renewable energies in Spain since 1981, he has many important references in countries like Portugal and Cape Verde in the field of small hydropower plants, and in France in the field of wind farms. Simultaneously, he has developed an essential role in the political and regulatory development of renewable energies: he was the President of the European Renewable Energies Federation (EREF) since its founding in 1999 and until 2004, and he is the founder of the Spanish Association of Small Producers and Electricity Generators with Renewable Energy Sources (APPA) and the European Small Hydropower Association (ESHA).

He fluently speaks Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian and Portuguese.

Manel Peiró Herrera

Managing partner

Industrial Engineer from the High Technical School of Industrial Engineers of Barcelona since 1966. He developed his professional career in the textile industry for 15 years, and he later began his career in the renewable energy sector.

With great activity in the field of small hydropower plants, he has a long list of over 75 built facilities in which has been directly involved. He has conducted management tasks in the development, construction and operation of projects of various renewable generation technologies. At the international level, he has been involved in projects in Portugal where he has achieved important success.

In the associative area, Manuel Peiro was the founder of the Spanish Association of Small Producers and Electricity Generators with Renewable Energy Sources (APPA).

He fluently speaks Spanish, Catalan and French.

Esther Saiz Rastrilla

General director

Degree in Business Management from the University of Deusto (Bilbao) since 1997, she has the title of Tax Specialist from the School of High Business Management (EADA) since July 2006. She is a member of the Official Register of Auditors since 2000.

Her career in the auditing sector began in one of the largest international firms, where she was quickly promoted to Senior Manager, having the responsibility for the audits of the financial situations of international groups and for directing projects of valuation and diligence at an International level. In 2005 she joined the management team of a major pharmaceutical company, as Director Management of Taxes. Finally, in 2009 she joined the CXC as General Director.

She fluently speaks Spanish, Catalan and English.

Sergi Mas Miret

Head of engineering and business development

Industrial Engineer from the High Technical School of Industrial Engineers of Barcelona since 2004. He has developed his career in consulting and in several multinational companies from the renewable energy sector. In parallel to his professional activity, he has combined it with teaching at the university.

He has developed practically his entire career in the field of renewable energy, and he started his professional career in an outstanding professional consulting of the wind energy sector, where he led several international projects. Subsequently, he has hold positions of responsibility in important companies with an industrial profile in wind farms and, promptly, hydropower plants. In 2012 he joined the CXC project as Head of Engineering and Business Development.

He fluently speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and French

Feasibility studies (business plans analysis)

Establishment of the alliances being necessary for the success of the project

Research of private investors and bank financing

Supervision of the preparation of technical and executive projects

Supervision of the project management

Supervision of the contract terms and the acquisition of major equipment (wind turbines, turbines and others)

Supervision and negotiation of the operation and maintenance conditions

Common trading of the habitual contracts of the sectors (with investors partners, availability with landowners, bank financing and others)

Supervision of the management of the plant, as representatives of the property interests
